Court Dismisses Fraud Charges Against Danladi
The Federal High Court, Taraba State division, has discharged the case against a former acting governor of the state, Abubakar Danladi, and two others accused of diverting N450 million.
The court presided over by Stephen Pam gave the ruling on Wednesday. It declared that the allegations against the accused lacked in merit.
The court also ordered the prosecution, the EFCC, to refund the sums of money retrieved from the accused persons, in the course of the investigation.
In a statement, Wednesday evening, by its acting media assistant, Tony Orilade, the EFCC confirmed the ruling.
It added that it would appeal the ruling.
