I can collaborate with Tiwa Savage – Yemi Alade

Image
Although the two artistes don’t say it in clear terms, it is obvious there is a silent rivalry between Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage. But Alade, who recently featured American artiste, Rick Ross, in the remix of her song, O My Gosh, gave the condition on which she could collaborate with Tiwa Savage to make a song.  She told Sunday Scoop, “If it is the will of God (collaborating with Tiwa Savage). We, female artistes, are all doing great things and putting music out there. Being the biggest female artiste or not, I am very happy where I’m and I’m happy for other females in the industry.” On the alleged beef between her and Tiwa Savage, he said the question was irrelevant, saying, “We are here for the music; so, let’s keep our focus on the music.” Alade also stated that she was satisfied with her growth musically. She said, “I believe so much in growth and the process. When I saw an opportunity to collaborate with Rick Ross, I grabbed it. Working with him was an amazing experi...

I would have ended my 10-year relationship earlier if I was more experienced – Ayo Adesanya

Actress, Ayo Adesanya, has said there is nothing worth committing suicide over. She was speaking on the backdrop of growing suicide rates in the country.  She told Sunday Scoop, “Nothing in life is worth committing suicide over. It is said that when there is life, there is hope. For most people who reached that bridge of almost taking their lives, they eventually thank God that they did not take that plunge. The only thing that is constant is change. You may not have today, but you would have tomorrow. “When it comes to people in unhappy marriages saying they want to commit suicide, I don’t subscribe to it. If you are not happy in your marriage, the best thing to do is get out of it. However, it is a bit unfortunate that these days, we are no longer as tolerant as our parents before us. Maybe because of the advent of social media, things travel so fast, and we no longer tolerate each other. There are a lot of things that can be overlooked but these days, it doesn’t happen l...

Mum cruelly trolled for wearing full face of make-up four days after giving birth

On January 19, Sophie Attwood gave birth to her first child, a baby girl she named Isla. Four days later, the 27-year-old got all dressed up and went out to enjoy a tasty meal with her fiancΓ©, Daniel Lewis. She says getting out of the house helped her avoid "cabin fever", but there are some who were appalled she would do such a thing so soon after becoming a mum. But more than anything, these same people were horrified that she would even consider putting on a full face of make-up mere days after having a child. Sophie, a PR managing director from Staffordshire, shared a snap of herself on social media following her evening out - but she wasn't prepared for the reaction it provoked. The mum-of-one claims her picture was met with a wave of cruel messages from people telling her she shouldn't have left the house. Speaking to Mail Online she said: "I was surprised by the negative reaction. People, including my friends, started to question why I was ou...

Nigerians should observe a day of weeping every month – Ex- Osun Governor, Aregbesola says

Former Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola, says Nigerian citizens should observe a day of weeping every month. According to The Nation, the ex-Governor said this during the weekend at a symposium to mark the birthday party of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos. Speaking on Nigeria’s population and the revenue it generates, Aregbesola said: “We don’t remember that we are poor here in Nigeria. If we have a deep thought, we ought to have a day of weeping every month. “If we don’t work harder to improve our fortunes, we would continue to be poor. In 2017, Brazil had a population of approximately 200 million people almost about what Nigeria had. “That year, Brazil had a revenue of about $600 billion and a budget of $700 billion. Nigeria in that same year made $13 billion and a budget of $23 billion. Are the two countries equal? “Today, OPEC allowed Nigeria to extract and sell 2million barrel of crude oil per day but we don’t get that quantity. Even if ...
